So this is the project that's been eating my life lately. and I have been working on it since June, and we've made a lot of progress. Here's the idea: using character concepts from Legend of Zelda to teach a new generation of gamers about the art of reading Tarot cards. Readers use the characters roles in the game to interpret the meanings of the cards. We premiered the Major Arcana at JAFAX this year with a pretty successful showing, and now we're finishing the deck! We have 58 out of 78 cards done now!

It's a total collaboration: I design a new outfit or look for each character, putting them in a historical/cultural context that makes sense for them. Then draws a composition and puts the character in his style. After that, I paint the card digitally and add a frame, border, and text.

We're very excited about the project, and I thought it would be nice for people to see a card from start to finish. We're going to launch these on Kickstarter as soon as we are finished and we get the copyright permissions in order. Imagine: a full, working Tarot deck based on your favorite childhood game <3
