Description This will serve as a "preview" for now.. It is a 1:12 scale gingerbread house made by hand (by me) from polymer clay! I have never made a mini gingerbread house before and I really love making them! This one even has a peppermint walkway right up to the front door!

I am currently working on other Christmas miniatures and will hopefully share some more things soon! I actually started on them before Thanksgiving, but I got sick :/ I was in bed for 4 or 5 days and today is the first day my energy is coming back! Yay! Anywho- I hope you all are doing well! xoxo

First off, I do like the simplicity of the design, it allows more impact and focuses more on showing your skill in textures. The gingerbread has a nice color, and the fine texture really helps to bring it down to the 1:12 size. Your candy canes, also maintain that slight matte coating, like the old-fashioned candy canes that are sold at novelty during the holidays. In addition, the stripes are nice and even, again helping to bring the illusion of the house being real.

The tiny mint on the door is insane! and I really like the "powdered sugar" dusting that you've added. Lastly, the frosting. It has that heaviness of actually having been spread and drooping, on the roof, and the slight transparency as it has dried.

What I think could be worked on, are the edges of the gingerbread. Cookies change color based on density, and placement in the oven. The edges tend to be slightly darker and there is a matte sheen over the surface.

All in all, a very good job e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>
