This is fanart for a myth I accidentally came across during a little research homework.
Once upon a time New Zealand had a gigantic eagle (they've found the bones and everything).
This beauty could carry off people (I want one !!!!).
Unfortunately all the cool things die out first- it hasn't been seen for 500 years.
The Maaori people have their own explanation for its disappearance.
The hawk challenged the eagle to see who could fly the highest.
They both took off and soared up into the sky, until the air got thin and the birds were deep
among the clouds.
Kahu (the hawk) could go no further and trailed back down to earth.
The eagle kept on.
Personally I think he's still flying.

I thought about 2 things when I looked at this and read the description:
Why does she need a huge canvas for something that isn't super-HD-over-the-top detailed? But there is absolutely nothing wrong with that!!! And it's great to like large canvases and use them.
And Wow the description is actually really interesting!
I think I heard of such an eagle. Didn't it used to hunt giant Moa birds that also went extinct long ago from people?
Anyways, I looked at this for a long time and read the description more than once. I even like how you worded it all.
So yeah, this picture is neat.

Thank you for all the compliments, lol, I know i don't need overly large canvases, it just makes me happy when I can zoom however much I want and not see pixels OvO.
Haast eagles did prey moa and other large ( now extinct ) birds that lived in New Zealand.

Mum said she really likes this and that you're really talented XD I showed it to my parents because they were lecturing me about my originality (or lack thereof) and got me to draw two birds on a power line.

Urrrrrhhhhhh...... originality and parents. Mater told me the other day that I had never drawn anything original. Ever. But then, according to her I've only ever drawn cats and ponies sooo yup . Birds x power line sounds cool though.
