So I was pissed and instead of crawling in a hole, I got in my car
Bad idea usually, but I also brought my camera. I thougth to myself...These people are full of shit and I'm going to go get some awesome shots to show them wrong (not that they care really, but I do). So anyway, it turns out that getting good shots on a rainy foggy day in December in the Marin Headlands [link] is easier said than one. Well, halfway up Conselman road (before McCullough Road), I saw these two crows/Ravens sitting around looking to cause trouble. So, I thought I'd harass them some. I pulled over and they didn't even move...pretty bold birds. As soon as I got out of my car though they became a little edgy. They finally decided to go off and hassle a poor red tailed hawk, but I caught this shot as thise dude/gal jumped off the bench. Very fitting for my mood at the time!

Great shot and interesting description. I read that crows have the largest brain size relative to body weight of any bird.

Thanks Steve. I can see why people fly. This guy made it look so easy. It was fun to watch them dive bombing the hawk also. I guess maybe they were protecting a nest or something because two of them went after the Hawk...
