as Hollows are souls who have been infected by other Hollows, it'd affect now just the world where Karakura town is, but also Konoha as was the case for Orochimaru.
Also seeing that Orochimaru has all sorts of crazy jutsu and a large amount of Chakra... that turned into spiritual pressure in Hueco Mundo and the power change caused him to become an Arrancar! now with the time to be different from Konoha, within a span of 50 years, Orochimaru has built an army of Sound Arrancar formed from some of his former servants.

Apparently he plans to take Karakura Town and Konoha with his new ability to enter both worlds.
