My theory about Devil Monkeys, is that the lineage of Neotropical primates (platyrrhine) or also called New World monkeys, may have developed a larger representative, similar to a baboon, through convergent evolution, one that has migrated in North America, adapting to the Appalachian climate, since although many believe that the apes are only from tropical climates, there are the Japanese macaques which are adapted to a cold climate.

I have a bio for you. They are theropithecus monkeys related to gelada monkeys. They live in open country and graze. Females live in rightly knit units and a single male holds a tenureship where he can mate freely for about 3 years before the sisterhood finds a stronger male to replace him. Old males stick around as babysitters.Β

Some accounts describe it as a rather massive Baboon

You think so? Why? It's an American cryptid.

You should do a sketch of a bipedal canid as well. I wouldn't attribute all the dogman to dog-like primates, especially with the sightings I've read. This also kind of reminds me of a Blangonga from Monster Hunter XD

I believe the dogman sightings are a combination of things: Canids, Sasquatch and Devil Monkey. But, I really havn't done a lot of research on them.

I have, mostly because I've had a few sightings of my own. Some friends and I have been seeing a 7 foot tall bipedal wolf creature for around 4 years now. And oddly enough, we now have a Sasquatch too. I've been trying to catch both of them on film for the longest time.

Georgia, near Woodstock. I live about a mile from Lake Allatoona, so there are hundreds of acres of forest all around here. Apparently there's a lot of Squatch activity near Red Top Mountain, which is a short ways up the lake.
