With venom second only to the parasitic salivation of the Komodo Dragon, the Gila Monster (also referred to as the Beaded Lizard) resides in the deserts of Mexico, and Central America. Their colors determine how deadly they are. Yellow being the least deadly, whilst the red is VERY dangerous!
When Gex was being developed, one of the original villains was going to be a Gila Monster named Guido. He would be paired up alongside Karl Chameleon...
...just thought I would throw in a little bit of trivia in there.
Regardless, this is really a really nice and stylish rendition of this fine specimen of Lizard.
