I don't see any proof he will. Probably because his real life counterpart "River Irt" has been rebuilt, & Ark probably wants to render him in his old shape i guess.

They probably just want to surprise us with Bert. Bert could be in his new shape like how Henry was in his new shape in TAB. Frank and Jock will most likely appear in Season 19 or 20.
