During his lifetime, he desired to overthrow King Leo III for his thirst for power by using the democratic rebels before eventually betraying them. After a failed attempt of assassination, he confused his intentions and was eventually sentenced to death by decapitation. He was able to escape dying by transferring his soul to a phylactery (a jar). After Leo III found out about this, He had him sealed underground by unicorns, as powerful as him. Three hundred years later, he managed to find a way to communicate with the outside world and formed a cult that can free him from his prison.
