Juniper tries not to get involved or attached to things which leaves him with a very chill attitude. He goes along with what other people are doing and won’t stress what doesn’t involve him.
Realistic
He sees the world exactly as it is, nothing more and nothing less. Even if it’s not what people want to hear he give the straight, uncensored truth with all the pros and cons that come with it.
Introspective
When he’s not stuck doing Society work, Juniper spends a lot of time thinking about himself and his place in the world. He knows his weaknesses and his flaws inside out, even if he has trouble resolving them.
Irresponsible
Often tasks assigned to Juniper will be found completed half heartedly, assuming they’re even done at all. Juniper is a slacker and a passive aggressive rebel with little interest in accomplishments.
Anti-Social
The happiest when he’s locked away with his laptop, fast wifi and a frappe for company. He avoids talking to people for longer than he must and can be found leaning in a corner most of the time.
Rude
On the whole, Juniper is not a very nice person. He’s got a grumpy, self-centered attitude that he has no fear of dumping onto someone else, be it by insult or otherwise.

History:
   Juniper grew up with loving parents, a nice little house in a cul-de-sack and a great education. Aside from being born at the same time as his brother, Juniper had a normal happy childhood. However, having a twin turned out to be hard for Juniper. Not because Spruce was a bad brother but because he was too good of one. Spruce was outgoing, determined and talented in a way that Juniper could never quite catch up to. When Juniper got a 100%, Spruce would get 110%. When Juniper gave a homemade card, Spruce would make a three-layer cake. When Juniper made a friend, they would become Spruce’s friend and eventually Juniper would be forgotten.
     While never intentional, Juniper slowly gave up on trying. He became distant, irritable and retreated into himself for validation. Spruce and his parents still loved and cared for him, but it started to feel patronizing. Even more so when his father would disappear for months at a time with only a few letters in between. Eventually the letters stopped coming until their father completely disappeared. None of them knew much about Mr. Sumwot’s business trips so none of them had any idea where he’d disappeared to. Mrs. Sumwot hoped he was delayed or out of contact, Spruce worried he’d died and Juniper dismissively decided he’d run off with some other woman and forgotten about them.
    Eventually, months later, a single note arrived. It was dated from a long time back and instructed them to go to Cupping Corner Bakery. There they discovered Mr. Sumwot’s work in the Sweet Society. Mrs. Sumwot took up the mantel as Society founder, Spruce went on expeditions to track down his father and Juniper…
Juniper thought the whole thing was bonkers and resented anything to do with it. So it has been to this day.
