Description
Onychoselache was a late Carboniferous hybodontid from the Glencartholm Volcanic Beds formation of Scotland. A small shark, Onychoselache was only 20cm in length, and the myriad of spines adorning it’s head and sprouting from its fins could have been deterrents to larger predators, such as the Ctenacanthiform Goodrichthys pursuing this individual.
