Camryn's necklace is a family heirloom that his ancestors picked up at their human's house. It's believed to bring luck since the wearer has survived the longest in each generation.
Personality:
Camryn is loyal, playful, and a laid back cat. He is always looking out for his friends and family, putting their lives before his own. He is also eager to have kits and hopes to raise them into strong, intelligent cats. Camryn is a bit more feminine in his walking and grooming manner, keeping himself very clean and preferring to hang out with female cats more so than males. He is also an optimist, looking at life as a game with no redo button more so than a struggle of survival. However, he has a quick temper when his friends or family is threatened and is quick to defend his strong beliefs.
Brief History:
When Camryn was born, his mother thought he was a female because of the rarity of male tortoiseshell cats and gave him the name Camryn. After a few days, she realized her mistake but didn't change his name since it was a unisex.
Camryn was the first born in his litter, therefore received special attention from his father. His father taught him how to protect his family and what areas to avoid, especially at night. When Camryn turned a year old, his father passed on his necklace to his son, hoping that he would lead his sisters to a safe haven.
Camryn was especially close to his sister, Molly. The two would often play together in their free time. One day, they ventured out too far and realized it was rather late when they decided to go home. They were attacked by a group of Infected. In attempt to save themselves, they split up: Molly running off into a building and Camryn running to his den for help. His father was about to fight Camryn for running to the nest and abandoning Molly, but before he could punish his son, the Infected found them. Camryn watched as his mother and Julianne were attacked and torn apart by the Infected. His father ordered him to run and find Molly.
The cat found himself lost and alone in the city. Tired and hungry, he was adopted by the Suran cats. Camryn still looks for his father and Molly while he's raiding the city for food, hoping to find them both alive.
Relationships:
Camryn gets along with mostly everyone in the clan. However, he has stronger bonds with the females with the males.
Sorna:
Camryn met this she-cat while out trying to catch a mouse for fun. His right eye failed him and he ended up running into a wall instead, where Sorna found him. They introduced themselves to each other and swapped past stories.
He was extremely excited to meet his first Suran Raider. He feels connected with her, since they both lost their close siblings. He hopes to bond with her and form a brotherly, if not more, relationship with her.
RolePlay Example:
Molly jumped up to a high rock and laughed. "Camryn, hurry up! You're going to lose if you don't run faster.
Camryn dragged himself forward and licked his dry lips. He used a nearby box to jump up to Molly's side and sat down. Through his exasperated breaths, he spoke, "Molly, we're an awful long way from the den. We should really head back before those things come out."
"You worry too much, Cam," Molly replied and laughed. "The sun is still in the sky. We'll be safe and asleep before they come out." Camryn glanced over his shoulder and thumped his tail on the brick. Molly continued, "Besides, it's too beautiful outside to go back in. The rain knocked a lot of dirt back onto the ground.
Shap! Molly jumped up and moved closer to Camryn. The tom's muscles tensed, and his ears swiveled behind them. He whispered, "What was that?"
"I-I don't know. Maybe we should go back," Molly whimpered.
"Good idea." Camryn nodded. They were about to leap off the box when there was a bone chilling hiss from the rooftop above them. Their heads snapped up as a ball of fluff soared toward them, claws outstretched. The siblings jumped out of the way and onto the dusty ground.
"It's an Infected!" Molly yowled, as more surrounded them. Camryn and Molly backed up against the brick wall. The tom kneaded the ground with his claws and bared his teeth. The She-cat counted the enemy and hissed under her breath, "Cam, we can't take them all on by ourselves."
"I know that. I'm just looking for an opening," the male whispered back. His eyes darted from Infected to Infected. A large gap opened up between the demons, and Camryn leapt forward. "It's now or never, Molly. Run!"
