Description Workshop equipment, called toolset in English, from the Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) series. CMP vehicles were produced by the manufacturer's Ford and General Motors (GMC). Vehicles produced by General Motors were in almost all cases equipped with a Chevrolet engine (see cat. nos. 28, 29, 48) and received the type designation 'Chevrolet', followed by a letter-number code (C15A, C60L, etc.). Except for the 3-ton, 6x6 class vehicles (including this GM C60X workshop truck). They were equipped with a GMC engine and therefore received the type designation 'GM', followed by a letter-number code.

This mobile workshop vehicle dates back to the time of the English maintenance system, which the KL used from 1945 to approximately 1954. After that, they were mainly located in Mobilization complexes. The principle of the English maintenance system was based on the recovery of parts and components in the field. This is in contrast to the American system where the components were replaced and repaired at the highest echelon (workshop). There was therefore no room for mobile workshop equipment of the type GM C60X in the American maintenance system.
