Among other things, they transport… sleepers. They have a wider car body for this. The sleeper wagon is also very suitable for the transport of loose material, such as sand. The open wagons are easy to fill and empty by folding the sides open. A striking feature of this car is the brakeman's cab. Each wagon has a separate brakeman who, on a signal from the driver, brings the wagon to a halt. After the introduction of the continuous Westinghouse brake, the brake housings are no longer necessary. Each wagon then has a continuous brake that is linked to the locomotive. This allows the driver to bring the train to a complete halt. The recent restoration of the car was made possible in part by a contribution from the Friends of the Railway Museum.
