Description
I wanted to play some Skyrim. And instead I ended up getting drawn into, well, drawing my current character.
Meet Ahk-li, an Argonian apprentice of the college of Winterhold. Having been born with way too much magicka potential, she ended up learning how to shoot lightning at an early age.
Sometime after she became an adult she managed to channel so much of it at once that, one: she discovered Arclight, a subset of lightning Destruction Magic that actually sets people on fire on more than the physical level, and two: she ended up with a permanent imprint of the element all across her body. Patterns that start glowing with power the moment she channels even the slightest amount of Magicka, which makes her an admittedly terrible rogue, and that's besides the fact that she tends to crackle with electricity at inopportune times.
Basically she went so deep into Lightning Magic that she almost managed to blow herself up in the excitement and instead permanently left imprints of Magicka in her body and her soul. It's possible that the only reason she survived is her yet-undiscovered Dragon Blood.
All of that lead to her getting sent to Winterhold with the next ship, as her father had some acquaintance with some of the masters of the college in the past and really didn't want to see if she could manage to ACTUALLY blow herself up.
Personality wise, she's a somewhat shy nerd who is, however, quick to start ranting about her favorite subjects, most of which are magic but some of which just so happen to be Argonian literature, which simultaneously made her one of Urag gro-Shub's favorite students and yet also absolutely insufferable whenever they disagree on a topic.
She's also a head shorter than most people in Skyrim, being somewhere around 1.6 meters or 5 feet 2 inches in height. Which probably explains why she has such a tendency to magically float everywhere slightly above ground, though in reality it's mostly due to just how much magicka is packed into her small frame.
