Description
For the 15th anniversary of Ben 10, I decided to finish up the OS Season 1 finale! (Or, at least, the 10,000 Years, 1 Friendship version)
In this season finale, Ben and Courtney face tension in their friendship again when Ben withholds the appearances of Vilgax in his visions from Courtney, in fear she’ll be too scared to stick around for the rest of the summer. However, the opposite is proven when he actually gets captured by Vilgax and she’s the one who leads the charge to his rescue. From then on, Ben promises to be more honest with her, as he now understands just how loyal of a friend Courtney is.
I thought it would be fun to make the Season 1 finale a Ben-Courtney episode, just to put a magnifying glass over their relationship and just how far it grows as the series progresses. (I also made Courtney Vilgax’s bargaining chip instead of Gwen and Max, because I thought it would be sweet to see Ben sacrifice himself for her. Got a chance to practice drooping hair with that too, so win-win!)
