Description The M4 Thomson TD, officially the Medium Tank Hunter Mark 4, was a Elipian tank destroyer developed from the Mark 4 Medium Tank's chassis in 1941 by Universal Motors out of frustration with Forward Industries' production of poor quality turret parts after the loss of several UM factories to Hosh night bombers.

The Thomson Tank Hunter featured an improved 4.13'' gun over the original's 3'' gun, significantly thicker armor to improve crew survival and an automatic fire extinguisher system to counter the original's tendency to randomly light on fire when damaged.

Weight: 31 tonnes
Length: 6.96m
Width: 2.93m
Height: 1.98m
Maximum Speed: 50km/h

Main Armament: 105mm L/40 gun
Secondary Armament: 1 x .50cal machine gun

Sherman and Stug III sitting in a tree, K.I.S.S.I.N.G! first comes love, then comes marriage, then this thing in a baby carriage. XD I'm laughing my ass off at this combination and how that rhyme was the first thing I thought of. Don't take it the wrong way, your art is the best!, it realy is. Keep on going, and never give up.

Don't forget wet ammo stowage. That nearly eliminated the burn up tendency.

Judging by the description it should be called the Ford Pinto Tank Hunter!

Nice model anyways, very good backstory

Oh, man! Excellent American version of a casemate-style destroyer. Feels exactly right. Like a Sherman and a Stug had a baby.

This is one of my earlier models, it's kinda lacking compared to my newer ones, I want to redo it later

I certainly won't complain if you return to this guy.

If you don't mind my , I would make the side skirts more in the style of the M6 tank, rather than the Stug approach. Just to feel more American.

On a side note, you might dig these -More American castemate TDs based on the M7 Priest Chassis. At least the guys left and right.

legs instead of tracks, but could work either way.

Lovely, really digging the roof details

Might not post it but I was working on a joke tank. someone earlier sent me a message that, despite me knowing full well and was intentionally making weaknesses, went out of its way to tell my how flawed some of my tanks were, but not for the reasons i thought it would be. said how they weren't enough guns or were too small with too many flat parts. So i partially made like a twin M3 Lee with the casemate gun on both sides like it was mirrored, and had a sherman turret with a M3 Lee commander turret on top of it

That mega tank sounds hilarious. I'd actually like to see it. It would of course, be utterly useless, but some things are fun for their own sake. And the Lee is ripe for caricature.

Credit for those multiped TDs goes to my pal who did a ton stuff for the project. He does great work.

This thing itches the same scratch for me. Fanciful, but realistically grounded and utterly believable as a concept. Got all the right hardware and details. Using authentic elements like Sherman's rubber tracks, mantlet, etc...

Not a bad idea forgoing the bow MG either. .50cal on top does the job.

Though I got rid of the radioman's MG because it was already pretty cramp inside and it was starting to feel like the Hetzer which was designed to be able to traverse its gun 15° on either side but in practice it could only do so if it's willing to crush the commander on one side and cut out the side hull for the other side

An American Stug III...
I like it!
I'd also imagine that Erwin (Matsumoto Riko) might like this also!
Well made Theo, well made.

I'd think it'll fit into Sanders a lot more though

Very true, however we can't deny that Erwin would be looking at this with envious eyes however.
