What models did you used for these?? I'd like to make some for an rpg game I'm running. Gotany tutorials?
These are prettymuch the coolest werewolf minis Ive seen so far!! Good job!

Thanks.
The smaller ones are GamesWorkshop Beastmen bodies with heavily converted heads, I also used different spare bits from other sprues for a hand/arm etc.
The big one is a Ratogre body with a chaos warhound head & a lot of green stuff fur.

Below is a link to the WIP folder in my gallery, not a tutorial as such but you can see what parts are from models & what parts I built up in GreenStuff. (there is also progress pics of the big wolf)

I tried to replicate what you did with the smaller ones...with awful results Greenstuff is not my thing...
If you ever do more of these, would you put a price on them?

Sorry to hear that.

I was planing to sculpt a couple of master heads to cast, I got all the stuff just none of the motivation.
I did a bit of converting on a couple of other projects I'm working on recently, but I got artist's block at the mo (if there is such a thing).
I'm out of work right now & spend most of the day job hunting, checking emails & being let down.
The rest of the day I try & keep my sanity by exercising & xbox, I try & paint/draw/sculpt but nothing happens & when it does it's shit so I don't force it.

I think I would sell some casts if they turn out right, I think a trip to GamesWorkshop HQ in Nottingham for inspiration is in order!

Man, you sure are having a rough time... Best of luck with that job hunting!πŸ‘
Art blocks are awfull... But you're doing it right by not forcing it. It's a rough time and creativity doesn't come near stress, so be sure to take care of yourself, do fun things, and take that trip to GW's HQ!!!😁
If you ever sell some casts, just lemme know and maybe we can do business, okay? πŸ‘

Thanks very much
I used Beastmen as a base & a Ratogre Body & Chaos hound head for the big one.
Then used green stuff & sculpted the heads. I also used various GW parts for arms & weapons

Ohhhh I see, so this green stuff, I see you use it a lot when sculpting your figures and stuff, and I wanted to know... where do you get it? I'm a figure-customizer enthusiast and I've been trying my hand at simple repaints and with all the amazing options for sculpting and such, I was hoping that a more experienced sculpter and painter like yourself could teach me a few tricks

I get Green stuff from any Gamesworkshop shop, you can also order it from their website. Its good to work with not messy at all.
There are other types of modeling putty/clay that do the same thing but I'm not sure about them I just use mainly Greenstuff.

I've been model painting off & on since I was 12-13 & still learning. As for Sculpting Its fairly new to me, (I still get tips myself) I just used to use Greenstuff to fill in gaps & alter a model slightly its only in the last 4-5 years I started doing conversions & now big customisations.

Getting some good sculpting tools will help a lot, I even made my own out of a tooth from a comb (I think I have a pic in my gallery somewhere)

Very nice. Been working on some wolf beastmen of my own recently, but nothing anywhere near this quality - defiantely an inspiration

Thanks, I've only been sculpting with greenstuff a few years, I have recieved a fair few tips on here from other sculpters much better than me. The right tools improved my models a lot, practice makes perfect.
I do like your Fenris Wolf/Beastman idea wish I'd thought of that.

Those are so cool! Very nicely done. Are these modded from Warhammer Beastmen figures or did you do these from scratch? If they're modded then it's some of the best I've seen. Especially for something like werewolves. ^^

theoggster In reply to TeknicolorTiger [2012-05-02 12:18:11 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much.

The front smaller 2 are beastmen bodies, the heads were also beastmen but I carved away & rebuilt it with greenstuff so much I might as well of scratch built it. The big 1 at the back is a Rat Ogre body & old Chaos WarHound metal head, I had to resculpt one side of the head as it was flayed & I added more fur to the body.

There are more pics in my gallery of these models, if you wanna check them out in detail.

TeknicolorTiger In reply to theoggster [2012-05-04 01:20:33 +0000 UTC]

I saw them. Very impressive! If they had an actual army of werewolves for Warhammer, there would be no hope for my bank account. XD

But anyway, I really admire your craftsmanship.

theoggster In reply to TeknicolorTiger [2012-05-04 12:57:15 +0000 UTC]

Haha yes, I try & be very strict when it comes to new models. I look at them & think "I could turn that into...". You'd think they would have a werewolf army, or even have as an addition to undead or chaos beastmen.

Thanks for your comment & glad you like.
