Finally summoned the courage to paint Bayonetta for my Twitch FanartFriday... she's my all time favorite female game characters. It was suuuuuppper difficult lol. I struggled so hard with this painting. But I'm glad I finally made myself do it

Honestly, I am vaguely aware of Bayonetta as a character. My understanding of who she is minimal. But from what I do know, I think you captured her...defiant sassiness in the expression in this portrait. She looks down at the viewer, displaying dominance and haughtiness. Aside from her as a character, this portrait is solid from its own merits too. Most of the color scheme seems cooler, with muted blues and violets. Still, I appreciate the moments of warmer colors like the yellow in her pendant or the dark red streaks in her hair. In terms of value, there's a wide variety of tones. Shadows, mid-tones and highlights are spread throughout the image. It helps make the image look like it has a lot of form to it, even though there are some sections that are rendered more flatly than others. Overall, lovely work.

I've always wanted to be more daring with my color usage and I'm glad I was able to deliver some of it through this piece.
