Well, I've not posted anything on here for a long time, so here is something I have been experimenting with. I spend a fair amount of time painting wildlife studies in acrylic (I don't post those on here); I've never tried to use oils before, but I decided to have a go. Vigo seemed like a fun start.
This is on an 8 by 12 inch canvas board in oil. It is as close to 1:1 scale as I could work it out - a full Vigo painting would be just over 8 foot by 5.8 foot, I think...
One day I will tackle the full thing, it's just a case of "where the hell do I put an 8+ foot canvas?"
