I get the whole "yaoi was intended for girls, yuri was intended for guys" thing so many times that at this point I just sigh, shake my head at the person, and don't even bother arguing because I'll get annoyed.Because no matter how many times I point out that my yuri stories mostly have female fans, people still argue. -headdesk-

I'm a huge Yuri fangirl. I'd say it takes up about 90% of my ships. If people think Yuri wasn't made for girls, I'd show them Revolutionary Girl Utena. The main couple is a girl x girl couple and that anime and manga series is actually a shojo- intended for girls. Girls can't like yuri? Think again.

that's because a lot of yuri actually isn't made by or for lesbian women. granted there are some lesbians who do like yuri and some are written by them but the majority of yuri audience is straight fanboys who want to see two girls getting it on.
