Description We had to meet an appointment at exactly the other part of Kopenhagen we were in, and that required going through the pedestrian zone and the usual streams of people that go stream up and stream down and of course the few that interrupt it by standing as islands in front of store windows or that walk on by like sunday drivers! Despite the hurry, being blinded by the sun I had to look down and saw the wonderful moving shapes of pedestrian shadows, that I had to take out the camera and start shooting on the run!

Photo taken in color and changed to B&W in PS. With some good fortune, at some point in the year 2006, I'll be able to shoot some original B&W shots, taken on film and with a little surprise! All comments as always welcome!

Thank you and thanks for the visit! Given the shot you made of the shadows, I thought that if you'd visit my gallery, you'd find this one to your liking!

Even if I found another shot smarter than yours among the submissions for the contest, I think that yours better feets the idea of street I have in mind : a place where even if your surrounded by crowd, you can get lost among shadows without faces.

So, great work

I love the lighting and the shadows. All of the images and what not make it seem very dream like (or nightmare I suppose depending on how you look at it). It's a very unique capture and I enjoy it greatly

Yes, i see what you mean. Dreams are kind of like that sometimes (or mine are), in which you find yourself going down a narrow road (and in a nightmare, in kind of a rush), with light (or the path you have to follow) straight ahead and still everything is in motion and not directly clear! Thank you for your input and I'm really happy that you liked it!

You seem to do some of your best work on the run!

What'll you do when they finally catch you?

One week after... but finally here: thank you very much for your comment. Really! It did make my day! I guess I should have my camera then more often with me, as -especially lately- been on the run much!

Another inside on the photo: usually I am not too comfy taking photos while "pointing" them at people's nose, as I kind of was with this shot. But in this occasion, I was really going so fast, that they would have NEVER caught me!

Thank you! Also for the little star of course! I'm really glad you liked it and about the positive feedback!
I think this photo might just about start a big attraction for making b&w shots!

Gorgeous capture! Does that sign on the left say 'love'? How fitting. Very well done

Hi Dai!

I double checked the photo I got from the cam (and the shots I made before) and this is the only one where the sign on the left is visible and although I don't recall what it said, from the shots it has to be "Love". While the store might be some of some dubious appearence, it really makes for a nice subplot (or hidden message) of the photo! That's really nice that you pointed it out!
