Hey there, folks! I’m the Cuban amazon, but you can call me the Cuban parrot or the rose-throated parrot. I’m a medium-sized, mostly green parrot from the woodlands and dry forests of Cuba, the Bahamas, and the Cayman Islands. Carl Linnaeus first gave me a shout-out in 1758.

Life isn’t all smooth sailing—habitat loss, natural disasters, and the pet trade have me listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List. But you can help! Stand against pet trade and deforestation to keep our forests alive and squawking. Let’s work together to save my species!
