So I did promise some more G1 Pones but with a bit of minor inconvenience, the 80s ponies have been delayed for a little bit, but thankfully I have some pictures to do with tomorrow's episode which won't be uploaded until Sunday so watch out for those!

But before that, we'll still take a trip in time, to the 1990s! The decade here bought us the 2nd generation of My Little Pony, being released in 1997 after G1 was discontinued in 1995. Here is Ivy, who is one of more notable ponies and was seen as the face of the generation appearing on most of the merchandise. It's also a generation I really like but not one a lot of people talk about and sadly there's reasons for that...the brand was not successful in North America and was only discontinued the following year in 1998. However it was much more successful in Europe, and lasted there until 2002 when the franchise was rebooted again for G3.

It's a shame really, as I do love a lot of the characters and how they look. I wanted to draw them for a good while but have always been put off, and for a good reason. G2 does not have a cartoon (No MLP Tales doesn't count) and this makes referencing the characters A LOT harder. I didn't want to draw the same styles they have on the actual toys as it would look too repetitive, I tried to come up with something and it looks fine to be fair. I added a hairband since I thought it'd fit in nicely and I do really like the pose too! The colouring is alright, not great, but not terrible either. Overall it's decent wouldn't you say?
