"Are you sure you want to arm wrestle me?"

Sokka sat in a chair at the Dragon's Den, elbow on a table, his hand waiting for hers. "What's the matter? Scared you'll lose?"

Toph did her best not to laugh out loud; she failed miserably. "You really are a glutton for punishment, aren't you?"

"Care to put your money where your mouth is?"

A challenge was one thing, but a bet was something else entirely. Toph was never one to turn down the opportunity to empty her best friend's money pouch. She sat at the chair opposite Sokka and held out her hand. "You're on!"

He took her hand and wrapped their thumbs together. She tried to ignore her heart pounding in her chest and concentrate on the match. "On the count of three," he said. His hand tightened around hers. "One." He sat up straighter in his chair. "Two." He held his breath.

"Three," Toph finished, and slammed his hand down on the table. "I win," she said with a self-satisfied smirk.

"That's not fair! I wasn't ready!" He let go of her hand and shook out his fingers. "Best two out of three."

She sighed. "If you insist." She readied herself again, and again, Sokka counted to three. This time, however, she just held her hand still. Sokka pushed against it, but she didn't budge. He tried pulling with both hands and Toph remained motionless.

When the sweat started to form on the palm of his hand, Toph decided it was enough. With one quick movement, she pinned him to the table once again. She rested her chin on her free hand and smiled at him.

"Best three out of five?" she asked.

Sokka groaned as his forehead hit the table.

Hahaha! Poor Sokka! He'll never learn. You just cant beat Toph. And they're both a couple of years older in this. Sokka's 18 and Toph's 15.
