Starting 2020 with a drawing of ChiakiI actually just wanted to show Chiaki's scars which she got during when her and her father were attacked by a demon when she was 14.
Yes, I just wanted to draw her scars. But in addition to that, I somehow decided to draw the most complex and detailed background I ever drew in my life lmao
I gotta admit, the background definitely wasn't fun to draw. Although the stone, water and waterfall were doable, I just can't stand drawing trees... OTL
But I told myself to get out of my comfort zone for at least the start of the new year so here you go.
At least my suffering turned into a somewhat decent background?
What I am indeed proud of, though, are the wisteria tree branches in the foreground. & THEY WERE FUN TO DRAW
Used the ones from the anime as a reference :3
All in all, I really like how this turned out & I'm not regretting stepping out of my comfort zone one bit ^w^
Oh and btw. I'm sorry I had to put on the mature content tag, but she's nacked after all ahsjdkhaksdj

I wasn't expecting that intimate of scarring. (Placement and History) That must have been quite painful for her physically and emotionally? Even more, remembering every time she sees them.

I think those trees in the background were done very nicely. Since they're in the background, they don't need as much detail as in the foreground, especially if you fade. Great work overall! Glad to see you attack those trees and give them a shot. XD

Because I have no idea how to draw them without the details and still draw them in a way that has depth and actually looks like an anime bg OTL (yes, it's a person XD haha)
