Synchropolis an isolated city in the Northern Plains region of the Rodinian Continent.

Things move very slowly there.
The A.I. that controls the biometrics of the city's population
realized that the vast majority of the existence
of the universe will take place long after it can support life.
if an organic life from wanted even a glimpse of the beginning
of the end, they were going to have to slow way down.

The premise was idiotic though, a trillion years would barely make a dent in the time,
and there is literally nothing to see.

But the city worked much more efficiently, so the A.I. decided to keep it in slow mode.
He recalibrated the temporal cognition centers of the minds of the citizens so time seems to pass
regularly for them.

Nothing much happens on the plains anyway, so the A.I. figured the people aren't really missing anything important.
