You all call me smartyou all call me strong
but I just can't help
feeling that you are wrong.
I don't solve my own problems
I don't face my own fears
I run from the truth
I cause my own tears.
I am undeserving of your kindness
undeserving of your praise
what I really deserve
is to be thrown in a cage.
When I get angry
the rage swallows my mind
when I get scared
I run uncaring of what I leave behind.
And yet there you stand
still by my side
YOU are strong one
not the one you stand beside.
