Let me elaborate...
A base is a line art with only the character model and/or objects, and allows the user of the base to customize as much as they please.
As for a collab, there more then one character in the pic, but the person allowing the collab sets the rule that the character already done does not be altered.
Hopefully you learned a lesson in class today. ^^
