I just got one thing to add. The tones in the two photographs are very similar, so it makes a good dyptich. However, you also need to take into consideration the focal point in each photograph. In the portrait, the focal point is obviously in the eyes, and it's at the top. As for the right one, it's on the bottom right. Therefore, as much as this may sound ridiculous to you, I think it will look much better if you rotated the right image so it's upside down, and if you crop the extra space at the bottom. It does look better in my personal opinion, and I'm using present tense because it's in your inbox
