Description My character for ~

Full Name: Roy Joseph Meloni

Birthday: January 31, 1904

Height: 5’ 7”

Age: 22

Role/Occupation: Newspaper reporter

Trivia: Left-handed, horrible sense of fashion (hence the mismatching vest and pants), same height as Antonio Salieri

Personality: He’s a bit of a sly bastard, to be completely blunt. He’s good at manipulating people, and often lies to get out of trouble. Don’t believe a thing he says about the Mafia, no matter how many times he says he’s telling the truth. He does have a good side, though, somewhere. When you do find that side, he’s a sweet, caring guy, but very gullible. He usually wears a subtle little smirk, no matter the situation, and is secretly a very good dancer and singer. His favorite food is canned ham (first sold in 1926). Automatic pop-up toasters bring endless amusement to him.

Background: Roy was born and raised in New York City, the middle child in a family of nine children, his parents, and two dogs. With so many children for the parents to look after, Roy rarely got much attention. But he made up for this by tucking himself into a nice little corner and writing little stories full of heroes and villains. After getting the chance to meet some hot-shot reporter in his early teen years, Roy decided to take up journalism and eventually became a reporter, too. Since he had had so many brothers and sisters, he had learned to be sly and sneaky to get his way, which were some skills that proved to be very helpful in getting a good story. Unfortunately, these skills have earned him a bit of a bad reputation, especially in the underworld of the city, where the gangsters and speakeasies are. Roy has had more than his fair share of punches and black eyes, because of this.
When Roy was only fourteen, he got a (very) small job reporting. More like an unofficial apprentice job. A year later, he lied about his age to fight in WWI, where he used his job as an excuse to report the activities going on at the fighting. He was captured as a prisoner of war and kept captive for almost six months before he managed to escape. He doesn’t like to talk about what happened there, or how he escaped. By the time the war had finally ended, he had become a big shot in the reporting world.

Blegh, his picture didn't come out looking too clear for whatever reason, but I'll find a way to fix it eventually, I hope...
