Description
He was an average-looking lad, around twenty-two, perhaps twenty-three. His hair was brown, as were his eyes, close-set, but not so much to attract attention to them; his otherwise plain face, which almost always bore a smug grin, was dotted with freckles that didn’t quite cover his cheeks, freckles that matched horribly with the yellow, plaid outfit he had on. The outfit, made God-knows-when, was likely the worst piece of fashion ever stitched together with needle and thread, yet the young man seemed completely unaware of this—if anything, he wore it with pride, probably having picked it up some time ago at a mysteriously low price, and felt like everybody should know of his incredible bargain. Scrawny, and oddly lanky for his height as if he’d spent a long time with poor nutrition, the suit hung off of him in a strange, limp behavior, almost like the clothes were constantly being weighed down with water. If he knew how bad the outfit looked, he might have changed it. Maybe. A pencil tucked into the breast pocket and the glint of a dog tag chain under the shirt’s collar completed the mismatched ensemble.

So...this is probably what my character, Roy, would look like in real life...as realistically as I could get him, anyway. I drew this maybe a month ago, but I've been scared about uploading things to here lately, but here, have it now! I probably should have gone just a LITTLE thicker with the eyebrows, but his eyebrows are fairly thin to begin with, so this is okay. Maybe I'll someday draw the other characters in his comic the same way, when work doesn't have me so busy. His comic is sadly on a bit of an unexpected hiatus because of work, but maybe I'll get to update again one of these days.

I drew this with Micron pens, using all horizontal lines, then added the sepia tone on the computer.
