My first impression of it is that it lacks space and perspective. A forest is generally big and has some shadows here and there. To add, it also needs more foreshadowing work to give is that spacious feel, the atmosphere of a forest. For example, the leaves and grass could have been more thinner and smaller as it progresses into the drawing. The lack of all theses factors makes the drawing look too 2-dimensional.

But i can also see this as an art choice. I've seen others do this before and it gives an antique old storybook vibe to it. I like the choice of colors and I personally believe it's suitable for the setting and mood. It is subtle and warm. But i don't see a lot of darker colors. And as mentioned, forests have shadows everywhere.

Overall i like it, The meaning comes through. But you need to work on your coloring and perspectives.
