The Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway built 11 of these 7Fs to drag long freight trains and passenger expresses over the Mendips. Grace, #88, was built in the 1925 batch, and was saved from scrapping in 1969 by the Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust. Since then, she has played a big part in the Heritage Railway Circuit, including visits to the Mid-Hants and Great Central Railways (meeting a particular BR Standard 2 at the GCR ) The S&D blue color scheme shows her well, especially since yellow and blue are the colors of Down Syndrome Awareness.
