nice bit of style and design
otherwise GNOMESHELL themes are, more often than not, quite unoriginal and boring

Excellent Theme!!
Many thanks for sharing with us.

I would love to swap positions of 'Windows' & 'Applications' to 'Applications' & 'Windows' in Activities overview, since i have no use for the windows function.
Can you please point me to the code (file/line), since i couldn't find it?!

Thank you (:

You can't change it, it's coded into GNOME-Shell, not my theme.
What Linux version are you running anyway, this theme hasn't been updated in quite a while.

I am running GNOME-Shell v3.2.1 (can't remember the original theme name) in ubuntu 11.10 environment.
Thanks for your replay!

by far my favorite theme on shell 3.4 ... any way i can change font size 15 - 25% smaller for titles? that would make it perfect thank you for your work ... one thing i do not like on these themes is the arrow pointing to the title and you boxed it out.

theRealPadster In reply to trytip [2013-06-14 23:51:28 +0000 UTC]

Maybe try in GNOME-Tweak-Tool>Fonts>Text scaling factor.

Really nice looking theme, I was looking forward to using this theme, but I can't seem to get it to install for Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal. I placed it manually into the /usr/share/themes folder but it doesn't pick it up in Gnome Tweak Tool. :c

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

theRealPadster In reply to Shad-Wolf [2012-11-21 13:30:18 +0000 UTC]

You need to install the user-themes extension from extensions.gnome.org.
I put my themes in .themes, but that should also work.
The other thing is the theme has not been updated to work with GNOME 3.6 yet, so it won't work right unless you have 3.4.

Shad-Wolf In reply to theRealPadster [2012-12-06 18:44:01 +0000 UTC]

I had the user-themes extension installed, but it didn't seem to work for me, running with Gnome 3.6

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

theRealPadster In reply to Shad-Wolf [2012-12-06 21:02:04 +0000 UTC]

It should find it, I'm not sure why it doesn't. But the theme hasn't been updated to support 3.6 anyway, so it wouldn't work right.

^^
There are other nice themes out for GNOME 3.6 already, like Faience.

Hello,
I love your theme, will you do an update to adapt it for gnome 3.6 ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

theRealPadster In reply to Anthony25410 [2012-10-31 01:20:00 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, and yes I will, I'm just finishing up my first port to GNOME 3.6, then I will update all the rest of my themes.

Just got this shell installed and set on, and I love it! I have a problem with a lot of shells leaving a small transparent bar of nothing when I have things maximised, but this one, thankfully, doesn't.

I'd say this shell is just fantastic and looks absolutely eye-pleasing!

..Now just to find a theme to match for both Firefox and Chromium..

I'd suggest FT DeepDark for Firefox, it's what I use

I have downloaded and installed this, I wondered what font goes best and what icon set would be appropriate for this theme. Any suggestions , either from the author or any one else would be appreciated by this nubie Linux user

theRealPadster In reply to Sostice-Eireann [2011-12-29 16:54:37 +0000 UTC]

Not sure about the font, as I usually just use the default font, but for icons maybe Azenis, or Any Color You Like.

im kind of a newbie, (you can tell, uh?) and really liked your theme, but how do i install it?
Thanks in advance!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

theRealPadster In reply to p3yn [2011-10-27 15:45:45 +0000 UTC]

1. You need to be running GNOME-Shell, to start with.
2. Then you need the user-themes extension. "gnome-shell-extension-3. user-themes", which is probably in your package manager.
4. Then you need GNOME Tweak Tool, also probably in your package manager.
5. Open GNOME Tweak Tool > Themes > GNOME-Shell theme. Click the install button, and select it from the drop-menu.

Glad you enjoy it
