Lighting test. I'm using a grey card to get the shadows and highlights correct looking.
First rendered in mental ray, then tried Iray. After a 1000 samples it was still very noisy.
The reason for a greycard is that you can colour pick the shadows/highlights with the levels/exposure tool in Photoshop, just if you were to take a real photograph.
So I wanted to see blacks, mid-tones and whites throughout the image.
