Description This one is baised on the story of Icarus.
Basic story: Icarus and his father are prisoners being held in a tower. His father comes up with an idea to escape. They will make wings for themselves out of feathers from blankets and wax from candles. Icarus pretneds to be sick so they get extra blankets and his father says he wants to read more to get extra candles. After a long time they finally finish the wings and fly out of the tower. Icarus' father warns him not to fly too close to the waves of the sea they must cross, or else the feathers will get wet and become too heavy and not to fly too close to the sun, or else the wax will melt and the wings will fall apart. At first all is well, but soon Icarus becomes too enthralled with flying that he forgets his father's warning and starts flying higher and higher. His father tries to call to him, but Icarus is too high up and cannot hear. Icarus' wings begin to melt, being so close to the sun. His father tries to warn him, but he is still too high up and does not notice his wings falling apart until they are too tattered to keep him aloft. Icarus falls into the sea, which is stormy and tempestuous. His father looks for him frantically but cannot find him and after many hours continues on his journey home alone and broken hearted.

I intended the feather to be white or light grey, but I grabbed the wrong shade of pencil. When in doubt, improvise. Overall, I'm very happy with this.

I like how you drew this. (: Looks exactly like how one would picture a bookmark from the olden days.
