If Spyro's snout wasn't so flat and short, then he would look better.

Is it too much to ask to give this new Spyro a chance? I don't care what anyone says, to me that incarnation is and forever shall be known as Spyro Jr. or son of Spyro and Cynder. Since Spyro should always have the familiar purple eyes, and that Spyro doesn't. Spyro never had speckled scales, and that one does. Spyro's wings are orange, and that has a purple frame and yellow wings. So yea. I'm going to think of it as the son of Spyro and Cynder from now on. Seeing as how Spyro and Cynder are mates. It could happen.

I think a more appropriate title would have been Skylanders: Spyro Jr.'s adventure. Or Skylanders: Adventure Island featuring Spyro Jr. (son of Spyro and Cynder)

Of course I have created my own character who was ADOPTED by Spyro after his real parents died. And they have their own daughter.

I appreciate the props though.

i disagree with you. in the first games (1-5) his eyes were black.and wings were red.look you can think what you want, im not against that. but its the fact that some (not all) are soooo stubern that they will only settle for somthing only that probably wont come back. i hope you not that way,yes they skrewed his face up. oh well mabee they will learn from there mistakes.idk. i like ALL spyro games (yes some more than other's)but other people are just fans of one era of the games, and hate on all the rest. that gets on my nervs. if they were realy spyro fans they'd be like me on that fact.you can dis like me if you want.i dont care. but all i have to say is this you dont see the face in game play and if u use imagination he actuly might start looking like spyro.idk. just please PLEASE GIVE HIM A CHANCE, BE HAPPY THAT THE SPYRO GAME BRAND IS NOT DISCONTINUED! do it for the little guy in ps1.please.

That was the point I was trying to make. I know he didn't get the purple eyes until Enter the Dragonfly (Just look at the box art), but the trend stuck through the Legend of Spyro trilogy. And just for the record, I only recently got into the Spyro craze near the end of 2010, and the game I got was Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon. Then I recently acquired Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, which I enjoyed despite its bad rap. I will get to play Dawn of the Dragon very soon because it is the next game on my GameFly Queue.

Besides, I was planning on giving this new Spyro a chance when he comes out anyway, or when I can afford it. I personally don't like the red eyes, because they make him look like a bloodthirsty monster. But his speckled scales remind me of battle scars from his previous incarnations. I also don't care for the gimmick of collecting figures to be able to play the game, because the figures tend to get lost, stepped on, or chewed up by a pet or a younger sibling or infant. Besides, I'll say it again, if you look closely at the classic series, you can see some changes in Spyro's appearance through the series, and I don't just mean the PS1-PS2 graphics. The same can be said for the Legend of Spyro (The biggest change being that Spyro actually ages 3 years in Dawn of the Dragon, something few fictional characters ever do)

AND YES YOU DO SEE HIS FACE WHEN PLAYING! YOU CAN ROTATE THE CAMERA, as well as during cut scenes. To me, the new Spyro is more like Spyro Jr. It could happen, he could be the son of Spyro and Cynder, since from what I have seen, I can see some resemblance to both of them.

I've only been in the Spyro craze for a short time, but I can honestly say that I am a die-hard fan of Spyro now. But I'm never going to play the GBA titles because I don't believe an isometric camera view works that well with a platforming game such as Spyro.
