Description
Redoing scorecards is a massive pain. I have to redo the entire scorecard from scratch AND write a new review. This one was particularly hard because the old one was of such a low quality that I just had to redo the entire thing. All of the screenshots were changed, so I had to do that, and I had to make sure everything was the right proportion. It's very hard to balance all of these things at once. The good thing is that pretty much no one cares about this show so I can get away with a smaller review then usual.

Anyway, Hanazuki is a mixed bag. While the humor is pretty solid with lots of variation in it's joke, along with some solid character development, great morals, and nice animation, it has some of the worst writing I've ever seen. Many episodes decide to badly execute tropes, making them extremely predictable and cliche, the pacing is usually super slow with tons of repetition, there's tons of annoyance in the show due to the Hemkas and some one-off characters like Miyumi, and it sometimes even forgets about continuity and instead decides to rewrite the logic of the show at a whim. It's a very inconsistent show that managed to have the pros outweigh the cons.
