Looks like Super Arrow is protecting the Earth from Hyper Zoda again.

See, I never even thought of such a concept until today, and just looking at this, there's no way the anime producers didn't look at Hyper Zoda and go, "Oh, this would be a great rival for Super Arrow. But, darn, we made our Super Arrow a joke." This picture right here basically proves that it would have been too fitting. In fact, I think thisΒ is the Zoda that should have been part of the whole Super Arrow rivalry lore, not the skinny version. This version of Zoda I look at and actually go, "Oh man, I wonder if Super Arrow can beat him on his own..." The regular Zoda vs. Super Arrow is as intimidating as putting Squidward up against Superman.

One look at plain old Zoda and you laugh when he's pitting himself against Super Arrow and Mrs. Arrow. You look at Hyper Zoda? This is a different story. It goes without saying, but he's had abilities that could be effective against the whole Elite Mobile Task Force. As a matter of fact, if they didn't bill Rick Wheeler as the main hero who would help Falcon, this could have easily happened.Β

It's a shame this didn't happen in the anime, sadly Super Arrow was mostly used for comic relief.

Instead, Zoda was made to be Rick Wheeler's true nemesis. See, Super Arrow could have still been a very recurring character. Heck, we should have seen Mrs. Arrow also fight against Zoda.
