Description
After viewing the original 20 episode season of Nisekoi and reading up on the series, I can officially say that Chitoge Kirisaki's reputation as Best Girl to many was well earned. Being the daughter of a mob boss, having a background that does perfectly in explaining why she is the way she is, being not TOO verbally or physically aggressive that she becomes an outright abuser, being a tough, ill-tempered, foul mouthed yet kind, vulnerable, and secretly soft-hearted girl, and also hilarious and expressive as heck, and having great chemistry with just about every character she interacts with all serve to make Chitoge one of the better Tsundere characters to grace the romantic comedy/harem genre, and one of my favorites I've seen in a while. No offense to any of the other girls, all of whom I love as well, but Chitoge's the best.

While Chitoge have a weak excuse to be a bitch(Raku being dense and being her from a family of gangsters),Louise does not.

I wouldn't even say it's a weak excuse seeing as her mom came off as cold and uncaring to her and was hardly ever around, her dad's too busy with being a fucking mob boss to be a proper parent, and her bodyguard Claude kept her isolated from making friends, meaning she never learned how to keep her violent and aggressive tendencies from reaching socially unacceptable levels (though she gets better at this once she has more friends, thankfully). I think it says a lot that her song that played in the first credits of the show mentions that she doesn't enjoy being violent and wish she could pull her punches or show more restraint.
Louise barely has an excuse, and even the excuse of her feelings of inadequacy and where it all comes from does not even BEGIN to explain why she's such an abusive bitch. I don't think ANY excuse can justify the way she treats people.

I felt real bad for her during the last three episodes in Season 1, during the Christmas episodes with her mother, and when she lost her ribbon (and at one point thought it got shredded). Poor thing.

I just plain love her - I find it interesting that she's got such a bad attitude and acts out in some truly unacceptable ways but still be a very good person at heart.

And it just gets better when the same bystanders who were praising her for being such a Best Girl start talking bad about Raku and saying he seems like really weak boyfriend material, which of course cracks Chitoge the f**k up.

Definitely, but that's what makes them a fun pair - they're so mismatched that they cross the line into being perfectly matched for each other, as friends, fake lovers, and real lovers. XD
