I finally got to do a WoW cosplay! I love the game and the designs and have been wanting to to one for a while, so it's great to finally have it done!Picture taken at Metrocon 2013 in Stavanger, where I was lucky enough to not only attend but also be invited to host a couple of panels. It all went very well, despite me getting very ill and nearly losing my voice completely before going on stage. Everyone around were very helpful with suggestions for various methods and concoctions to make it better. Wonderful people!
I also competed in the cosplay contest, and ended up getting first place and qualifying for the Nordic Championships!
This costume was incredibly fun as I got to work with a lot of new techniques. Sculpting and casting prosthetics, leatherworking, LED lights and expanding foam, all of which gave me many new ideas and motivation for future projects. It was a lot of fun to wear despite beeing both ill and stressed at the time, so I'll definitely try to bring it to another con, but not before I get a proper photoshoot going come summer ^^

That's really cool. Say are those balls actually glowing or is it just a cool painting effect ? Considering you mentioned LED lights in the description. Also, the skin is very well done I've seen cosplays with unusual skin colours that only turn neo colour looking. Do you have other pcitures of this cosplay ? A full body perhaps ?

Thank you very much. Yes, there are LED's in the balls, though the effect shows a lot better in the dark. Sadly we were in a very urban area for the con, so this was the only patch of green we could find for a nice setting. I have some other decent ones, but they all have the exact same background, so I'll likely wait until summer to get a proper shoot going. I'm quite proud of the suit, and I also made the Journey's End staff to go with it, so I'll definitely make sure to get some proper photos to show it off ^^
