I think I need to reflect on something.. hang on for a moment.A slight filler for you lads. Here's my rendition of the characters from some of the people I know.Β All done is simple cartoony sketchiness :3

Tried yourself with some Shadow art?
I'd say that yours is more of a "Fairly Odd Parents" or "Danny Phantom" styled way of drawing. Granted, both shows were made by the same guys.
You just need to present it in a better fashion, say.. a better colour palette.
Nonetheless, glad you liked what I made, despite this being an incomplete/sketchy piece :3
