YESSSSSS IT'S FINISHED~After 4 days of working on and off on this, I finally have it finished!
It's Mother Nature depicted as a gryphon
I dunno what she's sad about - perhaps the fact that humans are destroying Nature? Make what you wish of it c:

I am not a member so i cannot OFFICIALLY critique, but I think this piece is very nice. What I like the most is how the tail becomes the trees, The wings, and the claw in the water. What I am not too crazy about is the flowers on the head.. I don't know I just think it would have looked better without that there and perhaps around the neck on the vines or something. The overall background is very nice and the lighting is just about perfect, perhaps a very little bit darker in the back. GOOD JOB!

No, I want it on ALL of my art (muhahah) accept photography (unless you want to, I don't care) and Scraps (because I already know they suck XD)

Okay, I'm not very good at critique but I'll give it a go XD
I noticed that on your hind legs (on animals), they look kinda rounded at the top, like this:

Where hind legs would normally look more like a human leg on toes, like this:

I also noticed that on your wolves, the wrist joint on the front legs is a little higher up than it would normally be.
The heads/faces and bodies on everything look good, especially the eyes ouo
And a final tip would be to practice, practice, practice. Carry a sketchbook everywhere (Very useful for long restaurant waits XD) and draw weird poses and hybrid animals and things. Draw at least 1 thing every day, even if you have an art block. Force yourself to draw if you have to >

wow, thanks a lot. I'll take another look at my wolf anatomy and fix the legs the best that I can. I really appreciate the help, and now the sketchbooks I never draw in anymore (I use computer paper now mostly XD) will have a great use. I'm glad you like the eyes because I have some trouble on this one picture, and I just can't get the eyes right, but the rest is awesome and it really sucks XD
Also I appreciate you telling me I am doing a good job on the heads and bodies because I have trouble making sure the proportions look right, especially with the tummy, I usually have to make it furry or else it doesn't look right.. I am just worried when I draw the hybrids and such in new poses, the anatomy will be all wrong and I won't ever improve...
(That was the bestest speech, don't worry XD)

I can't remember that well since I did this a while ago, but I think I used a semi-transparent light blue layer, but to fit the pond c: The reflection was just the gryphon copied + pasted, then flipped and transparency adjusted to match the water C:

It is so amazing that the gryphon is part of nature making the whole scene come together so well. I agree with most on the fact that you pulled the emotion not just from her face but in the whole scene as the water adds greatly to its sadness. What I really enjoyed was the lightlight spots within the picture making the sun more real. The back paw could have had a bit more detail but it is all a wonderful piece of art. very well done.

They're lion-goat-snakes. They have the body of a lion, with hind legs as goat legs and front legs as lion legs or dragon legs; they have two heads - one lion head and one goat head. Sometimes they have wings (either batwings or feathered wings) and they have a snake for a tail. Also, sometimes they'll have an additional dragon head.
