Background: Tetsuo was a long and strenuous experiment. There were hundreds of failed fetuses. So, when she was a success, even though she was female, Shredder decided that it was in his best interest to keep her. Full of doubt, he put her through gruelsome training and expedited her growth. Both were excruciating, but, not knowing any better, she accepted it as a way of life. Within her first year, Shredder was able to see that, unlike her predecessors, she showed remarkable intelligence. He assigned her several instructors to give her basic education: Speech, reasoning skills, etc.

One thing he made sure she never learned was emotion. She knew no pain, no regret, and no joy. She just 'was'. She learned to serve just him and sought only to please him.

Her entire training was to ultimately face off with the turtles. Unfortunately, Oroku Saki decided not to expose the turtles existance to her. She hesitated when encountering them and failed her mission.

Disappointed, Saki demands that she be "put down". Having seen others like her being created and destroyed, she knew exactly what that meant and the instinct to survive made her flee.
