It boggled my mind that people wanted it for a wallpaper. It was uploaded just as a photo of my desktop, originally. Glad you like my workspace!

I can give you an explanation.. Well, something that would actually get pretty close and would be the most likely explanation. It's the glass desk surface. It looks smooth, people obviously love smooth glassy surfaces. And of course the bright abundance of colors and smooth/stylish designs of Apple Inc.
But yeah, it looks delicious!

This actually is a kick-ass image for a wallpaper to use, I love the looks iMac's, but you should have waited for the new iMac G5 with the remote and built-in iSight. I want to see what the Intel based Mac's will look like.
