Thank you! I'm sorry things are still confusing, let me try to clarify some. Sans is still Sans, he just gave himself a nickname because of the colour 'cyan' and the changes he went through (before he fought Frisk, he came up with the nickname on the spot). The side of Frisk that said Sans can't be Sans is 'Chara'; their other personality. 'Chara' expected Sans to be lethargic and apathetic because of how he is, and becomes surprised to find out he's powerful and agile on his own. Frisk came to their senses after all the guilt that was built up inside from killing over and over, and felt extremely remorseful and because of that, they didn't kill him. Cyans didn't exactly forgive Frisk, he may appear so on the outside, but deep down he still doesn't fully trust them due to the amount of determination they have. Not to mention, Frisk is the only other living thing in the Underground - everybody else is dead - fuelling Cyans' loneliness which is why he decided to convince Frisk to side with him to restore the timelines. Along with that, Frisk has half of the Patience SOUL, something that connects to Cyans' past which is why he sympathizes Frisk a little (he too has some guilt over his past, which he talks about it a little to Frisk earlier in the comic). I hope this somewhat explains it.
