Nice lightning! I just... Rally like that there storm. The way the characters are almost invisible, and the lightning is the only reason they can be seen brings to life how dark and stormy it is in a way that I haven't seen much in the web comics I've read. And the clouds' lighting is great in that kind of brushstroke effect...
I really love that storm panel.

You just connected being kept alive by CAPTAIN SNOW and 'hope' together.
Captain Snow delights in torture, pain and mind screwing and Knull is not going to get any relief from that, because family means nothing to Snow.
If you think this has a happy ending... You haven't been paying attention.

Actually I'm pretty sure family does mean something to Snow, which make it worse--if you read the companion piece, Snowflakes, it looks like Snow's got what empathy he has tied up in with his bloodlust, which makes it even worse. He seems to have had a very not-SSC-kinky relationship with his wife, and at the end of the short removes himself from their daughter's vicinity to avoid hurting her. I think he actually is even more sadistic toward his sensu-lato-loved-ones. Poor Knull.
