So far, this is my favorite piece in the gallery. I like the shading and colors and the general detail of the bricks in the back as well. I've noticed that your Sonic pics are a little disproportionate. Sonic's head seems like it should be a little rounder in the back [not counting the spikes]. His head just seems a little too skinny.
But, you use your colors extremely well, which is not easy, at least to me. You also utilize the glow better than I could.

And you're gonna tell me about my picture looking like it's not classic-style coloring?
Anyway, so, about your piece. It lacks the proper highlights you would find in a classic-style Sonic artwork. Classic Sonic has thin highlights that follow closely to the dark outline. See here - [link] - how right near the outlines, there is a definate light-color, followed by more traditional shading. It's actually pretty similar to Sonic Adventure-style coloring, it's just more blended than the more modern style.
Which brings me to another thing I see in your piece - there is a lack of blending. The lines and brush strokes are just there, almost giving a cel-shaded effect, which I don't think is what you're going for. I'm going to assume you used Photoshop to color this, so I would suggest next time using the smudge tool to blend the colors a little better. Don't over-do it, though - you need to find the right balance of blending vs. hard-edges. This is getting there, but it could do with a little more blending.
The line art is another issue. The lines are much too dark if you want the Classic SegaSonic look. Again, referencing this picture ( [link] ) You'll notice that while there is a definate outline, it's not pure-black. It's just a much darker shade of whatever color it's outlining (example: around his blue head there's a dark blue outline, but on his skin-colored tummy there's a dark brown outline.)
Also, he's pretty off-model... The shoes are almost perfect, but his body is oddly pear-shaped, which is not how the Classic Sonic looks. He has more of a circular figure. Here, you have his head a little too stretched out vertically. His head should be basically a perfect circle with three spikes coming out of it
So hopefully my critique will help you improve for next time... It's certainly an interesting style to tackle, but also a difficult one.
