In the story, of course, she's from the Moon and he's from Earth (hence the symbolism of her hugging the Earth).

Thank you. I wanted it to seem like a spiritual connection. Only fans of the series will understand why she's symbolically hugging Earth, so even if that was lost on some, there would be luminous aspect to fall back on.
